Join us for a guided walking tour of The Point!

Noted for its picturesque character and setting, The Point, designed in 1855 by eminent 19th-century architect Calvert Vaux, served for more than one hundred years as the country residence of three generations of the Lydig Hoyt family.  Their stone house, known popularly as the Hoyt House, was the architectural centerpiece of this 91-acre property on the Hudson River. The Hoyt family left in 1963 after 108 years in residence, when the New York State Parks Commission acquired the entire site and incorporated it into the surrounding Mills Norrie State Park.

CVPA is offering three free walking tours of this historic site in September:

The 4th, 13th and 20th at 11AM--with a CVPA board member as your guide!

Come and hear about the site’s history and our efforts to save and re-purpose it.
