Latest news from CVPA

  • The original 1855 Vaux and Withers architectural drawings of the Hoyt residence have been located!

  • CVPA is progressing on repairing and re-opening the Hoyt Carriageway Bridge in Staatsburg, the historic main entrance to The Point and the long-popular hiking trail into Mills Norrie State Park.

  • Kyle Toth of PS&S LLC has written a narrative for an “official” walking tour of The Point, and will be conducting a trial tour in the Spring.

  • CVPA’s efforts to re-purpose The Point were the focus of a November 2nd meeting with NYS Assemblymember Didi Barrett, representatives of the NYS Historic Preservation Office, and others, regarding the future of the site.  A second meeting was held recently with State Senator Hinchey’s office.

  • CVPA is planning an exciting Summer evening at The Point, with tantalizing peeks inside the brick barns (and possibly the house!) and, of course, music, fun food and drink. Stay tuned!
